Transgender Residential Experience

The Transgender Residential Experience provides a community which centers the experiences, needs, perspectives, and joy of transgender and gender non-conforming communities, while creating experiences that foster healing, community building, and intercultural exploration.

We recognize the importance of providing housing options that cater to the diverse needs of our student population. T-REx aims to create a space where trans and gender non-conforming students can feel comfortable expressing themselves freely while living in a supportive community.  

Transfer Student Housing

For the 2025-26 academic year, transfer students are exempt from the two-year live-on requirement and are not required to reside on campus. 

On-Campus Housing

For those interested in on-campus housing, the Housing Request Form is now available in My Housing. We will house as many students as available space allows.

Winter Weather Safety

Whether you are a lifelong Michigander or this is your first winter with us, we wanted to share some important winter information with you. Please review the following and pay attention to weather forecasts, current temperature, emergency alerts, and dress appropriately.
