Van Hoosen Hall, University Village Apartments, and 1855 Place are air-conditioned.
If you are assigned to any other on-campus housing location, they are not air conditioned and we strongly suggest you bring a fan. Personal air conditioners of any kind are not allowed to be brought or used in your room.

How to Clean Your AC Unit
If you have an AC unit in your space, it's important to keep it clean to ensure it operates efficiently and keeps your living area comfortable. Regular maintenance can prevent issues and improve performance. Follow these to clean your AC unit and enjoy a cooler, more efficient environment:
- Turn off and unplug the AC unit to ensure safety during the cleaning process.
- Remove the filter, which is usually easily accessible at the front of the unit.
- Clean the filter using a damp rag or a vacuum to remove any dust and debris buildup.
- Reinsert the filter back into the unit once it’s completely dry.
Warning
Please DO NOT run the AC on COOL/ECO mode when the temperature outside is lower than 65°F/18°C.
Below these temperatures, please use FAN ONLY mode. Running the unit outside of these parameters will cause permanent damage.
AC must be plugged directly into the outlet. NO power strips or surge protectors. The AC unit has built-in protection.
