Laundry facilities are located in each residence hall building, including University Village and 1855 Place apartments. Van Hoosen apartment residents may use the Owen Hall laundry room.
Laundry facilities are free for students to use. Laundry supplies may be purchased at select Sparty's locations.
Laundry How To Tips
- Check for Loose Items: Before loading your laundry, be sure to check for any loose items in your clothing.
- Read Clothing Tags: Take a moment to read the tags on your clothing, as some items may not be suitable for drying.
- Mindful Soap Usage: Use only 1/4 cup of liquid detergent or 1 pod per load.
- Temperature Settings: When in doubt, opt for lower temperature settings.
- Avoid Overloading: Fill washers no more than 3/4 full to ensure proper cleaning. Remember, machines are complimentary.
- Lint Screen/Trap: Clean the lint screen/trap both before and after drying.
- Timely Removal: Set a timer to promptly remove your clothes from the machines once the cycle is complete.
- Plan Accordingly: Plan your laundry schedule around your study routine to avoid any conflicts.
If you encounter any issues with the machines, please submit a maintenance request or visit your Service Center to report the problem.
