First-Year Students

The rates listed are for students who begin at MSU during the 2024-25 academic year

The residence hall rates include a fully furnished room, in-room Wi-Fi, cable access and utilities. First-year students will not have a single room (unless granted an exception by RCPD).

AVAILABLE DINING PLANS

DINE ON SILVER

Unlimited access to all-you-care-to-eat locations and 12 Combo-X-Change meals per week (Sunday through Saturday). Spartan Cash and guest meal passes are not included. Spartan Cash can be added online at spartancash.msu.edu

DINE ON GOLD

Unlimited access to all-you-care-to-eat locations, 12 Combo-X-Change meals per week (Sunday through Saturday), $150 in Spartan Cash and four guest meal passes per semester. Unused Spartan Cash remains on your ID card and is non-refundable. Guest passes expire at the end of the semester.

DINE ON PLATINUM

Unlimited access to all-you-care-to-eat locations and 12 Combo-X-Change meals per week (Sunday through Saturday), $300 in Spartan Cash and eight guest meal passes per semester. Unused Spartan Cash remains on your ID card and is non-refundable. Guest passes expire at the end of the semester.

Second-Year Students

Residence Hall Apartments

The rates listed are for the 2024-25 academic year.

The residence hall apartments, located in Van Hoosen Hall and throughout other residence halls, are ideal for upperclassmen who want more independence while remaining in the heart of MSU's campus.

Available Dining Plans

Dining plans for apartment residents are not required; however, an on-campus dining plan can be added to any apartment plan. Additionally, apartment residents can purchase an off-campus dining plan on the Eat at State website.

The rates listed are for the 2024-25 lease period.

The apartments at University Village and Apartments and Townhouses at 1855 Place are steps away from the action of campus life while offering numerous on-site amenities.
