Community Spaces in the Residence Halls

While at MSU, your residence hall is your home away from home. Our residence halls are grouped into five neighborhoods that share resources and common spaces. Below you will find a description of the shared community spaces available in the residence halls and neighborhoods.

Bike Rooms

Bike Rooms are locked spaces where residents can store their bikes inside. These spaces are helpful in the snowy Michigan winter or rainy spring. Students should use personal locks to secure their bikes in the bike room. MSU is not responsible for stolen items.

Second-Year Live-On Reinstatement

Beginning with the first-year entering class of fall 2021, the on-campus living requirement has been extended to include a second academic year. This decision was considered alongside university administrators for several years as MSU has continued to invest in student success initiatives to support our students in their pursuit of a college education.
