ARRIVING ON CAMPUS
Move-in day is an exciting time for students and their families! In an effort to keep the move-in process running smoothly, each student is assigned a specific move-in time, which is posted on the main page of their iLiveOn account. Arriving to campus at your assigned move-in time aids in the flow of traffic as thousands of new Spartans travel to MSU on move-in day. Anticipate heavier traffic leading to campus and give yourself extra time.

For new students, some halls have been designated as Saturday arrival halls; others are Sunday halls. There is no additional cost to arrive on Saturday, but the Early Arrival Request Form must be completed so our staff is prepared for the correct amount of people. Saturday arrival halls are as follows:

  • Bailey
  • Case
  • Holmes
  • McDonel
  • Phillips
  • Rather
  • Snyder
  • Wilson

EARLY ARRIVAL REQUESTS

Students that would like to arrive before Sunday, August 26 must complete their early arrival request in iLiveOn. The link to complete the request will be available in early July. There is no additional cost to arrive on Saturday, but the early arrival request form must be completed.

All arrivals before Saturday, August 25, are charged at a nightly rate: $18 for those in double rooms and $32 for those in single rooms. Fees will be charged to the student account.

If a department is paying for students to arrive early, it’s imperative they arrive on the date provided by their department. Those students with a supporting department should plan to complete an early arrival request in iLiveOn.

If you are arriving in East Lansing the night before your scheduled move-in date with your family, we encourage you to stay at the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center located on MSU’s campus. The Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center offers contemporary guest rooms with a variety of amenities. Visit www.kelloggcenter.com to make a reservation.

If you are a student employee working on campus and your department has made arrangements with the Housing Assignments Office for your early arrival, you still must submit the Early Arrival Request Form. Your supervisor will also submit a list of employees to the Housing Assignments Office; please verify with your supervisor that you are on the list or you will not be approved.

DINING ON CAMPUS

  • Fall 2018 on-campus dining plans begin with breakfast on Saturday, August 25.
