Spring Break 2024

Not leaving for Spring Break? Neither are we! For those students not planning to travel during spring break, February 23 – March 3, Live On offers the option to remain on campus with no registration or extra fee required.

Those students choosing to stay in their residence halls should note that operations will be run slightly differently because of the break from classes. During this week, only the primary service centers in residence halls and apartments will be open. Additionally, these desks will only be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Students can contact the RA on Duty line between 7 p.m. through 7 a.m. for assistance while the desks are closed.

For safety purposes, building access will be restricted to only residents and building partners during spring break. All residents must use their Spartan ID cards to gain entrance to residence halls beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, February 23. The buildings with open dining halls will leave their main entrances unlocked during the specified dining hours, which can be located by visiting the Eat at State website. Regular dining hours will resume on Sunday, March 3.

During spring break, campus will be a bit less crowded than normal. To ensure your safety, we ask that you refrain from leaving doors propped open or unlocked. Do not allow those you do not know to enter buildings behind you. When possible, do not travel alone at night and remember that you are responsible for your guests. If your safety or security appears to be compromised, text MSUDPPS along with your message to 274637, or call 517-355-2221. For emergencies, call or text 911. Lastly, check out the SafeMSU app available to download in your app store.

Whether you are staying here or leaving, we hope that you have a great spring break. Stay safe and get some rest.
