Graduate Student Housing

Michigan State University's on-campus housing system is primarily home to first- and second-year undergraduate students. Graduate students do have options to live throughout the system, including in Owen Hall or our two on-campus apartment communities, 1855 Place and University Village. 1855 Place also offers options for family housing.

Off-Campus Housing Options

Many graduate students at MSU live off campus in the greater Lansing area. East Lansing and its surrounding areas provide the perfect mix of small-town charm and modern sophistication often sought by students and up-and-coming professionals. It is a dynamic community with beautiful neighborhoods, friendly people, and a vibrant social and cultural scene.

The MSU Off-Campus Housing website is a great resource for graduate students looking to explore their off-campus housing options.
