We are looking forward to welcoming you to University Apartments for the 2025-26 academic year! Below you will find the most up to date information pertaining to your move to Michigan State this August!
- Leases begin Aug. 1, 2025. You can begin to move into your apartment any time after 8 a.m. on this date.
- Please complete the pre-move-in survey emailed to you by July 24.
- Check-in will be located at the service centers.
- If you are moving into an 1855 Apartment (1801-1807), you will check in at the 1855 Service Center (479 Ivy Ct).
- If you are moving into a University Village Apartment (1701-1709), you will check in at the UV Service Center (1199 Garden City Rd).
- If you are moving into Family Housing (1808-1810), you will check in at the UV Service Center (1199 Garden City Rd).
- Move-in carts will be available while moving in and are located at the University Village Community Center and at the 1855 Service Center (497 Ivy Court).
- Please return carts to the same check-in location you picked them up. Limit is one cart at a time.
- Your mailing address can be found in your My Housing account beginning July 21, and also on the Mailing Addresses page.
- Your key and bedroom are specifically assigned to you. You are required to move into your assigned bedroom, indicated in your My Housing account. It is a violation of the On-Campus Housing Handbook to exchange keys or move into a bedroom other than your assigned bedroom. Exchanging keys or swapping bedrooms without formal approval from the Housing Assignments Office is not permitted.
- When moving in, visitors and vehicles without permits that are not actively unloading should park in lot 15 while it is complimentary this summer. More parking information for University Apartments can be found at: police.msu.edu/parking-services/permits
- MSU is a tobacco-free and smoke-free campus. More information can be found at: tobaccofree.msu.edu.
- Animals, birds or other pets are prohibited. Noncarnivorous fish, service animals and approved assistance animals are exceptions.
- As a reminder, policies and expectations for living on campus can be found within the terms of your lease and in the On-Campus Housing Handbook, both available on our Document page.
- Complete the Room Condition Survey within 10 days of our move-in date.
