On-Campus Operations and Support - February 2023

On-Campus Operations and Support – Feb. 16 Update

Dear Spartans,

As the university returns to standard operations after the horrific events of the past week, we wanted to check in and provide the most up-to-date information we have for residence halls and dining operations.

We are all grieving this week. Our team members will do our best to assist you, but please know emotions may arise and staffing may be limited in some areas. We sincerely thank you for your grace, understanding and patience as we take the next step forward.

Crisis resources are available 24/7 and teams will be available to support Spartans. Counselors will be stationed across campus. There are also listening sessions continuing in-person and virtual. For more information on these services visit: caps.msu.edu

Service Centers

Each neighborhood has at least one service center open. Please visit these locations if you need loaner keys or assistance gaining access to your space. They will strive to be open 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., with North Case and Owen open 24 hours. Some closures may occur based upon staffing levels.

  • South Neighborhood - North Case Service Center

  • McDonel, Owen and Van Hoosen - Owen Service Center

  • East Neighborhood - West Akers Service Center

  • Mason Abbott, Snyder Phillips and Shaw Hall - Snyder Service Center

  • North Neighborhood, West Circle – Landon Service Center

  • Brody Neighborhood - 104 Brody Hall

  • Apartments - University Village Service Center

Dining Information

Eat at State has increased the number of operations open through February 20, and they hope more locations will be open on Monday, February 20. Visit the dining hours page for more information.

Facilities

REHS Facilities team members will be maintaining essential operations and will respond to critical maintenance requests. Safety and security concerns, such as door, window and lock damages, will be addressed first. If damages were caused during shelter in place, please let us know so we can review and record these instances. For all needs, please complete a service request.

Residence Education

Residence Education staff are still working in the community and will continue after-hours duty staffing. Contact information is posted in your living wings and on the exterior doors.

Please continue to check email and social media for updates as more becomes available.
