Thanksgiving Break 2018

The days getting shorter and the air getting colder can only mean one thing – Thanksgiving break is fast approaching!

As Thanksgiving break nears, we want to remind students that all residence halls are open this holiday weekend. All students are welcome to stay from Wednesday, November 21 through Sunday, November 25 with no extra charge to their housing bill.

To make sure all residents staying on-campus during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend are safe, all students will need to use their MSU IDs to access their residence hall. Student IDs will only grant access to the residence hall in which the resident lives and to the hall with the open service center.

Students staying on-campus for the long weekend should make plans to have meals outside of the dining halls. All residential dining will close at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 21. Normal dining hours will resume Sunday, November 25 at 5:00 P.M. For information about when Sparty’s and Sparty’s Market will be open during Thanksgiving break, students can visit eatatstate.msu.edu

Students in need of assistance during the Thanksgiving break can seek help from the primary desks in each residence hall between the hours of 7:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M. The primary desk information for each residence hall is available https://liveon.msu.edu/servicedesks

Resident Assistants will also be staffed in each residence hall during Thanksgiving weekend. Students can call the RA duty phone between 7:00 P.M. and 7:00 A.M. to get assistance while the primary desks are closed. The RA duty phone number for each residence hall is posted in its respective building.

We hope all students enjoy the upcoming long weekend and get some much-deserved rest and relaxation!
