Welcome New Spartans!

As you soak up the sun this summer and pack your belongings, be sure to keep in mind the key dates and resources listed below to help you prepare for your arrival to campus in the fall.

IMPORTANT MOVE-IN DATES

Saturday, Aug. 19: Move-in for international students

Sunday, Aug. 27: Move-in for freshman and transfer students

Monday, Aug. 28: Move-in for returning students

MOVE-IN DAY PARKING PASS

To help manage the unloading of vehicles and the flow of traffic, we limit the time you can park directly in front of residence hall entrances to 20 minutes on move-in days.

MOVE-IN DAY EXPECTATIONS

Students must have their PIDs and MSU IDs on move-in day. If you do not have an MSU ID yet, be sure to bring another source of a valid ID and your PID. You must check-in at the front service desk of the residence hall that you are moving in to in order to receive the key to your room.

TRANSITIONAL HOUSING INFORMATION

A small number of students in each MSU neighborhood may be temporarily assigned to transitional housing for the 2017 fall semester. Transitional housing is an arrangement in which rooms are converted to house one additional student, typically on a temporary basis. For more information about transitional housing assignments, read our transitional housing news article.

RESOURCES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Move-in for new international students is Aug. 19. As you settle into your new home at MSU, remember you can find important campus information online at the Office for International Students and Scholars website.
